After enjoying either the fabulous jet boat ride up the stunning Niagara Gorge or the fascinating walking tour of historic Niagara-on-the-Lake, we will gather in front of The Queen’s Landing, outside the Bacchus Bar, overlooking the local dockyard with its fleet of sailboats. Here we will enjoy a chance to mingle with our industry colleagues and NID speakers and sip local wines. A traditional barbeque will be expertly prepared by the experienced hotel staff.
After the roaring success of last year’s dinner deliciously prepared by Chef Stephen Treadwell, Integra Capital and Lyxor Asset Management have again invited Stephen to create his magic for attendees but this time at his own unique, riverside restaurant.
Situated in Port Dalhousie at the last lock on the Old Welland Canal, Treadwell’s overlooks the rushing spillway as it ends its journey in Lake Ontario. A long deck affords diners the maximum view of this historic waterway. Ducks, geese and swans troll in the river’s eddies while seagulls and terns wheel overhead eyeing local anglers trying their luck in the slowing waters.
As evening descends and the patio lamps exude their effusive glow upon us, we will enjoy a master practicing his art. Treadwell will expertly marry local produce and artisanal foods in uncomplicated taste profiles which exemplify the rising Niagara cuisine. Our dinner will be paired with some outstanding local wines. We are delighted to have three top winemakers briefly present their vinous creations: Harald Thiel, owner of Hidden Bench Vineyard, Phillip Dowell, winemaker from Angel’s Gate Winery and a private creation from Don Ziraldo, the founder of the Niagara icewine industry with his Inniskillin Winery.
This will be an evening to remember!!
